Zombies, Hooligans and a Complete Lack of Parental Guidance
November 1st, 2011 | Posted by in Movie Reviews | New Releases

Zombies are the new vampires! At least that’s the proclamation we’re making here at IndieFlix (sorry Team Edward). With the success of AMC’s The Walking Dead, zombie-walks being the thing to do, the development of ZomBcon and today being Dia De Los Muertos, we decided it was only appropriate to feature I Love Sarah Jane as our Movie of the Week.
Directed by by film festival favorite Spencer Susser, this post-apocalyptic story features Mia Wasikowska (Jane Eyre and Alice in Wonderland) in the title role as an adored pre-teen living among zombies, hooligans and a complete lack of parental guidance. It is the perfect mix of a sweet love story and bloody zombie gore. I Love Sarah Jane boasts familiar faces, Australian accents and a surprise twist of an ending. Following the success of Susser’s recent acclaimed film Hesher, starring Natalie Portman, Rainn Wilson and Joseph Gordon-Levitt, the director plans to develop I Love Sarah Jane into a feature-length film with an expected release in 2013. Watch I Love Sarah Jane before it gets too mainstream – brought to you by your favorite indie film discovery site, IndieFlix!
